FP Techniques > Creating Tables with FrontPage

I used to hate working with tables in FrontPage because I was certain that I could hand code a complex table faster than I could build one using FrontPage table building features. I have discovered in time, however, that the FrontPage techniques listed below offer the most efficient way to build precise tables.

Also, check out these table tutorials inside Pro Techniques.

Creating a Table:

  • Draw the table you want to build on a piece of paper.
  • On the top menu bar, choose "Table/Insert Table."
  • In the "Insert Table" dialog, the number of rows should equal the number of cells in the table column you've drawn containing the most cells.  The number or columns should equal the number of cells in the table row you've drawn containing the most cells.
  • You may then need to merge some cells together to get the table to work the way you want.
