Spell Checking Your Site

Did you know that you could perform spell check on your entire
web site at once?
Go to the folders view (view/folders) and click the spell check
button. You will be prompted to either check the selected pages or
the entire web. You can also have FP create a task for each error
it finds (optional).
Select 'Entire Web' and FP will scan all the pages in your site and list
those that have spelling errors (or what it thinks are spelling errors).
To view the pages, click on the first page in the list and when it
opens, you will be shown the first word that is incorrect. You will
be given a list of possibilities to replace the word. If you see the
correct word in the list, click on that word and then click change.
If the word is not in the list and you know the spelling is correct
(such as a name), you can add it to your dictionary to prevent
getting prompted for the word again, or you can choose to ignore
the word and go to the next.
Caution should be used when adding words or names to your
dictionary. Make sure you have the word spelled correctly, or the
next time you type it that way, the spell checker will ignore the
word and the error will remain.
Once the document is complete, you will be prompted to save and
close the document and when you click okay, the next document
will open. Follow this procedure until all pages have been corrected.
You can also check all the pages in a single folder by clicking on
the folder in the list and then clicking on the spell check button.
Follow the same procedures as above to complete.
As with any spell checker, don't depend on it too much to catch
your mistakes. If you type a word wrong, but it still spells a word,
such as "you" instead of "your", the spell checker will not flag the
word as incorrect. Careful proofreading is the only way to catch
this type of mistake.
